Client task
The client sent fixes for a jewellery store on OpenCart: the product card, the homepage and checkout. Only an initial payment could be taken online. The buyer pays the rest when the piece is handed over in person.
Solution
The 10% is calculated from the current price and the selected options. The full price was not replaced by the reserve amount. The explanation, the production time and the page copy are edited in the admin. The term was 7 days.
What we did
- A “reserve 10%” line under the full price
- An explanation of why only part of the sum is paid online
- A production and delivery block, with the time set per product
- A press-logo strip on the homepage and the product card
- A checkout phone field with a country code
- The summary: full sum, 10% now, the rest on delivery
- An order confirmation with the customer’s name
- Video in the product gallery, added from the admin
- Payment methods only when they are actually connected
Result
The list is closed. The client noted the speed, quality and responsibility.
